SMH Mike Jack. Oh, Michael. My dude looks frail. So many questions. Why is he in pajamas? Why is he rocking a Marines baseball cap? *sigh* The dude that’s pushing him is thinking, “maaaan…What the hell…” Oh…here’s his kids: [CLICK HERE]. SMH.
Ok…now, on with the blog…
Whaddup? I want to take a different tone in today’s blog. Normally I like to jokie joke, but I wanna get (semi) serious.
Just looking at BET then going outside and seeing the youth duplicate BET in their regular lives, I get to a point where I’m like…I don’t even know. You have kids forcing swag and being disrespectful. I don’t wanna get on a Bill Cosby tangent, but it is evident that these kids need to know the “WAY.” Now eventho that sounds like a religious statement, it really isn’t. I look at the word “WAY” as an acronym: Who Are You. If it was up to me, I would start a WAY program for these kids.
Actually…not just kids, but people in general don’t know who they are. They may think or have a snippet of who they are, but really don’t know. And the sad part about it is that most people (especially adults) don’t like to revisit that question of Who am I, because it seems like an elementary question. Truthfully, if you knew who you were, you wouldn’t be where you are now. I’ll be transparent. I don’t fully know who I am, because if I did, I would not be where I am now. If Michael Jordan didn’t know he was a great basketball player, then he would’ve never been on the court. Look at the Matrix for a second. Neo thought his life was working in a cubical from 9 to 5, but at the end of the Matrix, he realized who he was.
If we really realized who we are, we:
- Would be in a different place
- Would not be intimidated by anyone
- Would realize that our weaknesses are just uncontrolled strengths
I want to go more in depth with this, but I only got 15 minutes, so tune in tomorrow. What drove me to this point? Looking at these nigglets walk around with a persona that doesn’t fit them. If a person can master themselves, they can master anything. Stop trying to master Lil Wayne!
*Applause*
Thats kinda deep JT…and real. I think I’m really just learning who I am because I feel like I’m now getting on the right path I want my life to go in.
That guy definitely freaks me out.
Great deep thinking there JT! I think to know the “WAY” one must mature and accept that maturity with learned and applied lessons of life. I mean when you look at your parents upbringing there were those that rebelled against parents in order to stay up with the “in” crowd.. it’s just that today’s in crowd is so messy with morals that these kinds of discussions are necessary. Again thanks for the thought provoking post!
wow ndo

I am only not truly positive whether it is the right place to ask, but you’ve got no spam comments. I get comments just like tkglcBhand historyNGQtNf regularly. Will you help me? Regards.
